  1. Online advertising certainly is an effective way to advertise these days. There are very very few people that I know who don't use a computer and haven't been directly affected by online ads.

  2. I agree that online advertising has become one of the biggest and easiest means of advertising. Facebook and Youtube play a big role in the internet marketing scene and will always be the big internet social media platforms. Advertising on the internet is a benefit in conducting consumer traffic

  4. Online advertising has some innate strengths and weaknesses that may direct its' future.
    1) The web is a vast abyss of information, advertisements/promotions/pop-ups clutter our spam filters, and put our Norton on high alert. Advertisers have to find a way to make their ads stand out, and pass any security tests neccesary.
    2) Advertisers know their strength is in us - It's interesting that we have taken the reigns and helped them so willingly through the sharing of promotional information via social media, without even being cognisant.

    1. Great points, I agree that as advertisers and marketers, its a challenge to make an ad that will not annoy and frustrate consumers with anti-virus programs, but ones that will involve them willingly.
Also internet ads are and will continue to be very beneficial and key in all businesses in the future, I believe.

  6. Good job Elliott,

Online advertising has as you mentioned increased drastically in the past decade and is growing at a rapid rate. With each generation becoming increasingly tech savvy I believe that your topic is quite an important one. To mercedes point, there is a lot of clutter on the web, and this can hinder many companies who wish to break through the noise. I do remember back in the dial up days of internet, how barren the internet seems compared to now in the advertising department. Watching this revolutionary change in the past twelve years has been phenomenal when you put things into perspective. Though I find advertising on the internet in many ways quite annoying, its humbling to think of where the internet will be with advertising in another 12 years.

  7. Great job Elliott!
Online advertising in the near future will most likely be the biggest source of advertising that companies will use because of the rapid growing rate of technology and the amount of people that have access to the internet. It reaches a significant amount of people and it is not as expensive as some of the other advertising sources.
    Really great post!

  8. Elliot,
    Great blog post,
online adverting has increased like you said, there many companies that advertise on the internet and sometime gets over whelming. This also has causes computer companies to come up with programs like pop up blocker to block these ads. its crazy that everything has changed so much that marketers are jumping for ad space no on the internet.
    nice blog,

  9. Elliot,

You're right in saying the internet is one of the biggest and easiest ways to advertise a product or service. But with so many options in the flooded online advertisement market, how would you attract consumers towards your advertisement as opposed to your competitors?

  13. Online advertising has no doubt become one of the biggest forms of advertising. Facebook as ads all over it and Youtube plays a whole bunch of unwanted videos before a lot of their content. Even though a lot of those videos can be annoying I've still found myself sitting there watching a 3 minute advertisement without even realizing it. Good post Elliot!

  14. Hey Elliot,

Great blog, I also agree that Facebook, as well as Youtube and Twitter are great avenues when it comes to online advertisements. I also agree that the opportunities are endless, and the specific types of advertisements are imporant. As marketers and advertisers, it is our job to ensure we grasp peoples attentions with the advertisements placed on these websites, as opposed to frustrating them.
